D153 / MDD

Postby greenamex2 on Fri Aug 14, 2020 10:19 pm

Hi

Probably a dumb question but if I have both a D153 AND a MDD, do the have to be on separate CAN buses?

My guess is yes, but thought I would check with the grown ups first.

Thanks

Seems wise, the MDD and D series default can addresses are in the same range it seems. The MoTeC can address document says that the MDD address range can be changed by changing links on the pcb, but I don't know how that's done.

Thanks Sean. I have a spare CAN port on the CDL3, just need to move the GPS...sounds the easier option!

For the D153 you can turn off the default messaging or change the address to whatever you want. In Display Creator, go to the settings tab and under 'Hardware Configurations' select either 'Off' or 'User Assign"

Cheers Adrian, another option.

Really must knock up a template and make sure it fits in the planned location, tonight's job.
