C127 Problem With Alternator And Drenth Gearbox's Display.

Hi everyone,

This is my first time install colour display into Evo 9 with M800 PnP and Drenth seq gearbox.

Here are the few questions that I'm holding :
1. After install the C127, alternator won't charge the battery. I've made set up the AUX4, but still won't charge.

2. I'm not able to display the Gear Indicator properly on the dash. I've connect the wire signal from the gearbox (according to Drenth's manual) into AV, setup Gear Detection both in M800 & C127 but still not working.

Any suggestion or advice will be highly appreciate.

Loqy

Can you upload your C127 config? Or upload a logfile, with all the gear related channels (Gear Position Voltage, Gear, etc).

Does the C127 have I/O option enabled? The C127 AV inputs won't work without that option enabled.

Does the C127 see a changing voltage on the AV channel when the gear is changed? if not, then make sure the wiring for the gear position sensor is correct. You may need to connect a +5V power and 0V ground from the C127 for the sensor.

Have you contacted your local MoTeC dealer for help. They would be in the best position to help you.

1. Check voltage to the alternator exciter wire?
2. There should be a voltage change on the signal wire (I think yellow for the Evo).

Hi David,

A friend of mine came with a C127 already with I/O option enabled.
I think I can connect directly from the rotary sensor direct to the AV ?
I've never worked with C with enabling I/O

Highly appreciate for your help.

Good Luck!

You haven't provided enough additional information to provide any further help.

- Make sure your gear position sensor wiring is correct.

- Double-check your C127 configuration is correct.

- Use tools like monitor channels to confirm you are able to measure the voltage from the gear position sensor and see it changing as the different gears are selected.
