L120 Logger - Ethernet conection

I just installed my new L120 Logger, but the device can`t be found in the C125 dash Manager. I double-checked the wiring but it seems to be ok. Tried 2 different cables. Turned off the Firewall. The connected GPS L-10 starts to blink.

When I connect the cable, the network symbol with the rotating circle appears, after some minutes it shows the yellow triangle.

At the Moment I have no idea how to find out the problem.
Most likely I think it is the cable or still the Laptop that makes problems.

Laptop runs on WIN7
C125 Dash Manager Version 6.3.12.0

In MoTeC Discovery, under the devices tab, is there anything listed or is it a blank page?

Do you have IPv6 enabled for your network adapter?

Hi Adrian,

thanks for your reply. Nothing in the device tab, IPv6 enabled.
I just took a different Laptop today that has less protection software and it worked immediately.
It seems that I wasn`t able to turn of the Firewall on mine completely.

Best Regards,

Matthias

If that is the case, depending on the access you have on the laptop, you should be able to put exceptions in for C125 Dash Manager and MoTeC Discovery to get it working.

The other thing you can try is 'Run as Administrator' but this can cause other issues and is really just a last resort.
