C125 Speed Input

Hi,

I have a C125 up and running in a 2004 Impreza rally car.

Currently I have the OEM gearbox speed sensor wired into SPD1 of the C125 but I know nothing about this sensor.

Does anyone have any settings to get the speed channel up and running in the dash? Its an OEM 6 speed gearbox sensor that has a 12v supply, so i'm assuming its some kind of hall effect switch.

Many thanks!

I had an ask around the office and someone had a vague recollection it was a 4 tooth disk.

Configure the SPD input as follows (I've used SPD2 but it is the same for any of the speed inputs):

If it turns out that it isn't 4 teeth, either adjust the number until it reads right or check just how many teeth are on the disk.

If you want a drive speed rather than an output shaft speed then select a speed channel instead. When you select a speed channel, the calibration window will also have a rolling circumference parameter. When you enter this you need to take into account the final drive ratio as you are measuring the speed before the diff.

Thanks a lot, very useful,

I will have a play around with the settings. I think we'll end up using it as vehicle speed, as the car has 4x wheel speeds.
