LED Individual Colour Control

Not sure if I missed something in the Dash Manager, but how do you assign a specific colour to individual LEDs when multiples are lit. In other words, I only seem to be able to make a pattern of all the same colour, rather than what is shown in this image.

[EDIT] Just thinking about it now, I would presume that it's done by 'stacking' patterns each with a different colour, so in the example below you would need to stack 8 patterns. Am I on the money?

Yes that is exactly how you do it.
