Temp sensor voltages over CAN

For a C1xx dash with some temp sensor voltages coming in over CAN are Tables the only way to convert voltages to their respective temperatures? From what I can see an individual Table is required for each volatge even if the same calibration sensors are being used for multiple channels.

Another possible option appears to be to emulate an E8xx expander as noted here, viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3321 although that might involve some additional information.

Edit. No need for an answer as the transmitting device appears to be not suited to this particular task for other reasons
