From within dash manager, go into Connections>Communications.
Then select the CAN tab that you have your connection templates under.
From here, select the section that contains the messages you want to edit the value for, and then click edit.
In the screen that pops up, there is a tickbox to default value on timeout, if this is checked, when the CAN receive message times out, the default value from the channel configuration will be used.
Remembering that the setting to default value is set at the section level, not the channel level.- Meaning that you may want to setup a new section for the messages that you don't want to default.
