New version of build broken modules

Postby aNinjaneer on Fri Feb 08, 2019 11:34 am

Anyone else have issues with the latest update of build not being able to load modules? This happened once before, and I had to manually go in and reduce the version number of each module to a lower version until the bug was fixed. That doesn't seem to do the trick this time.

Hi all,

Can you let me know which Project (Name and Version details) and system version you are using so that I can replicate this here. Some of the later modules also require the latest system version to work correctly.

I have attached the latest versions of these modules in a zip file.

Yes Stephen. I tested today.
I have m1 build 69 version 1. 4

Modules motec input and ambient pressure last versions give a lot of error when validate.

Module motec input works in version 17 or previous.and ambien pressure the same.

Hi Gaston,

If you install the modules in the zip file that I attached to the earlier reply, do you still get the same error?

This occurred for me when the latest updates were applied.
I believe as part of the update process, some old modules were possibly deleted.

I got around this by just updating the modules used in my projects to the latest (not a terrible idea anyway) and modifying any code to suit.

Hello Stephen,

I´ve installed your modules version now... and looks the same for me. (i am not an expert on M1 build)

I attached pictures.. and my file , which is just a GPA where i am "removing" functions i dont need .
You can see last build "g" is with last version modules you´ve sent... previous are with older modules and no errors.

I think you guys are running into the problem of not having the correct system for the modules you've selected. The system version is set under the Setting Tab, in the upper section. Note this can be set to "Most Recent", so it will always update, if you are setting your modules to the same.

Hi Gaston,
Looking at the project you uploaded, the errors being reported are legitimate.
You are using the latest Boost Module, which requires events to be selected for new items.
You will see in your project, that if you click on the boost module in the objects tab and scroll down within the Properties box, there are event items that are not selected.
There are also several other items not selected, such as the throttle pedal input and engine state input.
You will need to review these errors and fix. (this is not the same as the original errors you had reported)

Ryan

Hi Ryan !

Thank you !.. i am checking the errors... yes this are different errors...

Anyway my firmware is based on Aspirated engine :? so i think i don´t need Boost module. So will be a complicated task to remove it or set it up.. maybe i would decide to stay in older version modules to do it easier.
I am not an experimeted M1 build user yet.

Anyway if you have any advice , is welcome!..
