m1 tune trigger question

Postby Clean RC on Sun Aug 17, 2025 3:25 am

Hello..

Please forgive me for asking.. I am playing around in the GPR package for my M150, setting up i/o's for my project. I noticed that for GM LS engines there is the LS1 trigger that is 24x, and a LS7 that should be 58x but when I select the LS7 trigger it shows 25 on the tooth count. AM I doing something incorrect, or do I need to manually change the trigger settings. Thank You for helping a somewhat newby..

Pretty certain that if you have set the trigger in the drop down menu that it generally ignores that setting.

In the F1 help for tooth count it shows this -

Engine Speed Reference Tooth Count

The number of evenly spaced teeth in the Reference pattern. Forexample:
•Missing tooth modes such as "60-2" would have 60 evenlyspaced teeth
•The number of physical teeth for multi-tooth modes

NOTE: Only used when Mode help specifically mentions this setting, eg "Multi-Tooth", "One Missing" and "Two Missing"modes.

Selecting the Reference Mode does not change the Reference Tooth Count parameter. Set it to the correct number of teeth (including the missing teeth), especially if you want to do an Input Capture, as this tooth count is used to calculate the generated angles between edges.
