Hi All

Couple of Questions
Background Info
Mazda RX7 ..12A turbo Engine
2x 850 Cc Primary and 2x 1600 Cc Secondary Injectors

Q1.
Swapped from 1000 Cc Bosch "040'" to Siemens 850Cc for better Idle control (which i got )
After change over and resetting the injectors to the correct setting in the software the car runs perfectly
it seems the software adjusted for the smaller injector without remapping the fuel table ?
Is this correct ?

Q2.
I'm close to 300 (292) in the fuel table at the max boost we want to run
injectors staged at 30/70
but the duty Cycles are low 55% primary and 68% secondary
is this normal when my Fuel is near Max ??

Hi,

Q1, This is correct, this is why we have detailed calibrations for the injectors, to allow for the type of injector to be changed without needing a retune. The Engine Efficiency should not be changing with a change of injectors as it will still need to have the same amount of fuel injected to meet the Fuel Aim target, the amount that the injector needs to be opened will change and this is accommodated by the injector calibration.

Q2, This is higher than normal, do you have the charge cooling setup correctly? Are your sensor calibrations the correct ones and are they reading the correct values? Can you post your Package?

Hi Stephen

Thanks for the quick response

I will email you through support@motec
with the config file and a log

I have checked all sensor cals and they seem correct ...output values seem normal
