Driver Pt / Pit Speed Switch help

Postby greenamex2 on Tue Nov 28, 2023 6:53 am

Is the help for Driver Pit and Driver Pit Speed Switch mixed up?
The Pit Speed Switch help refers to a 10 position switch but has no position/mapping options where as the Pit help refers to it being on/off but DOES have position/mapping options.

Current release GP based packages refer to the Pit Switch as an On/Off switch and the Pit Speed Switch is multi position.

Pit Switch enables the Vehicle Speed Limit Pit subsystem and Pit Speed Switch provides a table axis to change the Vehicle Speed Limit Pit parameter value.

Are you using an older firmware?

Both Driver Pit buttons will accept a Driver Rotary Switch. You only need mapping on the Pit Switch since it's the only one that needs mapping to an on/off state depending on the multi-position value. The Driver Pit Speed Switch is used as an axis for the "Vehicle Speed Limit Pit" table, if an on/off switch is used here, only the 0 and 1 positions are used.

I can see how that's confusing, but read the help for each one with the above in mind, and I think you will see it's working correctly in GPA 1.11.0159

Reading "the "Pit Switch" help with your supplement makes a lot more sense, thanks.

The "Pit Speed Switch" help could do with some simplifying!

Thanks for clarifying David

The operation of the driver switches is being investigated for functionality changes in the next major release of the GP Packages.
