Windows 10 Update SNAFU

After installing MS Windows 10 Updates on July 18th to a Huawei Matebook X Pro the laptop lost a lot of its functionality including USB connectivity (USB Controllers were migrated ?).
Huawei provided a firmware upgrade shortly after which fixed most of the issues but I am still unable to see or connect to the ECU.
I am wondering if there is an issue with ethernet connectivity (through a Digitech adapter), a firewall problem or some other known issue stemming from updates.
I will check out the operation of the laptop but wonder if there are known fixes for the ECU connection failure.
I have GPA(M130) (01.10.0075,February 2016)

There is a known issue where a Microsoft network component conflicts with the one MoTeC installs. Running the M1 Tune installer with the "repair" option will recover. Here is forum post about that:

The other check to make is to ensure that IPv6 is still enabled on the Ethernet adapter that you are using, there was a couple of W10 updates that turned this off for some reason.

I should be able to deal with this but can't seem to find the M1 Tune installer on my computer or in the downloads.
The USB stick which came with the ECU was blank but is probably a left over from older systems.
I have also looked for the IPv6 and Digitech files on the laptop but have drawn a blank - probably because I normally use a Mac and struggle a bit with windows.
Probably a visit to the local PC shop is the best solution and if necessary my Motec supplier can help with the Installer.

Hi,

M1 Tune can be downloaded from here

For the IPv6 settings.

if you press on the Windows key on the keyboard and type network and sharing you should see the below screen, click on the Network and Sharing Centre link

In the Network and Sharing window, on the left hand side find the "Change adapter settings" link and click on it.

Right click on the Ethernet connection that you are using from the connections listed and select Properties.

Make sure that the IPv6 option is ticked to enable it.

Click OK to exit out.

Many thanks for such comprehensive assistance.
Downloading and installing M1 Tune got me back in touch with the ECU so really happy.
Now if I could just find some some good crank and post start values for a manual throttle EJ25 i would be in clover.

Premium ULP 98 RON.
The engine is based on a 2010 NA SOHC Forester which has a two position inlet cam for one of the inlet valves (duration and lift increases but only at and above modest load).
Any general info would be very welcome as I am not even sure if my cranking enrichment table should be flat , rising or declining over cycles for a particular setting.

One other thing that looks a bit strange to me and may be why cold starts seem to take a couple of attempts (hot starts are fine) is that the logged throttle position goes to 7 - 9 % on cranking despite being closed. It reverts to the actual closed indication after start.

Hi,

The cranking enrichment should start high, on PULP I would start with numbers similar to this. This may be a bit on the rich side, so see if it starts on these numbers, if it does but seems rich, then pull 20% out and try again. Just be aware of the fuel film effects from multiple starts (which is why getting cold starts correct is so difficult) skewing the behaviour.

With compensation table like this, make sure that the last column in the table has 0 in it, otherwise the compensation can stay in place after the table has expired.

The Post Start table is based off of the Cranking Enrichment table, what you want to have on it is a smooth transit from the Cranking to Post start tables, this means that the numbers from the Cranking Table when Engine State changes from Crank to Run should be used as the starting point for the Post Start table, this will ensure a smooth transition between the compensations. As with the Cranking table, the last column in this table needs to be all zeros.
