Eclectic Throttle and AC

Postby rayhall on Sat Aug 03, 2019 7:48 pm

I have a M150GPR controlling one electric throttle. It works perfectly when the AC is off. When the engine is idling and the AC is turned on I loose the throttle control. Just like when you have a broken throttle cable. What setting cases this to happen, and why.

Hello Ray,
Are all the throttle positions sensors wired directly to the ECU? The other day you had another electronic box in the mix that was causing you DBW dramas. Is this extra box till in the mix?

There is nothing that turns off the DBW based on A/C.

Not correct Mark. See screen shot.

The other box is removed and the throttle pedal signals only go to the Motec M150 ECU. This other box was going to be used for cruise control as I have asked and asked for cruise control to be added to my package. I keep been told it was too dangerous to let the user make sure there was a clutch and brake switches and only OEM's were capable of doing this every time. My cruise control box is now completely unplugged.

I have included the whole package file. If you want to go online again team viewer is ready to go.

What part of the screen shot shows that I am incorrect?

That screen shot is from AC Control settings and it mentions

AC Enable Throttle pedal Threshold and Hysteresis

Ok,
Your original question was:

"When the engine is idling and the AC is turned on I loose the throttle control. Just like when you have a broken throttle cable. What setting cases this to happen, and why."

There is no function that stops the DBW when the AC is on as I stated. The screen shot shows the parameters for turning the AC off based on throttle position, e.g. turn the AC off under full throttle to save power.

Mark,

Definitely something weird happening If I press on the throttle pedal so the TPS is not zero and turn on the AC I do not loose throttle control until I take my foot off the foot pedal. I then loose throttle control if I press it again. I t only happens when the ECU is on idle control.

Mark,
I moved AC request from a volt input to a digital and it now works, but have a flat spot when I blip the throttle. Turn the AC off and it is very crisp when blipping the throttle. Defiantly something weird like a firmware bug.
