Relocating M1 Packages directory

Postby bbrtuning on Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:22 am

I'd like to re-locate the default Packages save path/directory so I can keep it synced in Google Drive. Every other tuning software I use allows this but I can't seem to find a place to handle this in M1 Tune. Is there another way or a workaround to accomplish this?

Thanks, -Beau

Bringing this back from the dead as I would really like to be able to do the same. I'm constantly on different computers and it's a lot of added work especially with the packages needing to be exported/important rather than simply copied like a file.

Hi,

This can be done, but as it involves editing the registry we do not advertise it. If you send me an email through support @ motec.com.au I can provide the information to you.

Sorry for the bump from way back in time, but was wondering if editing the registry is still the only option for this situation? Thanks!!

With the changes that Microsoft has done to embed OneDrive into Windows, it either just automatically has the required directories available as shares in OneDrive, or completely stuffs everything up. I haven't dug in enough to see if there are registry changes that can be made.
