Short Fault during Pilot Injection

Postby shantim on Mon Mar 02, 2026 10:17 pm

Hello, everyone!

I am running the M142 ECU using the M1 Tune software. I have used this ECU for diesel (single injection) in a 3-cylinder CRDI engine for months now. It is running fine for single injection. However, today I tried doing pilot injection. I started with 0.1 mg at 30 deg bTDC. And as soon as I entered the value, these two errors flashed and the engine load (torque) dropped:
1. Fuel Cylinder 3 Primary Pin Diagnostic - Short Fault
2. Fuel Output Diagnostic - Combined Short Fault

For your reference, I have connected the 3 injectors to Fuel Cylinder 1 Primary Output (Direct Injector 3A), Fuel Cylinder 2 Primary Output (Direct Injector 4A) and Fuel Cylinder 3 Primary Output (Direct Injector 3B)

I have kept the 'Fuel Injector Primary Short Time' = 16 microsec. Do I need to increase this? I have attached the files below.

Thankyou
Sincerely
Shanti
