Injector Voltage Low Fault

Postby shantim on Mon Jul 28, 2025 1:56 am

Hi,

We are running a CRDI engine using MoTeC M142 ECU.

We successfully achieved full load at 1800 rpm, reaching a torque of 189 Nm. To address the previously observed 'injector voltage low fault', we increased the fuel injection pressure (FIP) to 1200 bar from the earlier 950 bar. This change was based on the linearization table, which indicated that low FIP may have required higher pulse width, leading to increased current draw and, consequently, triggering the 'low injector voltage' fault.

However, during today's operation at 1900 rpm and 1200 bar FIP, the low injector voltage fault reappeared when the engine load approached 150 Nm with a fuel mass of 40 mg.

Below are the injector configurations and related settings:

Supply voltage is set to 54 V.

Injector connections:

Cylinder 1: 3A+ / 3A– (Pins C19, C27)

Cylinder 2: 4A+ / 4A– (Pins C21, C29)

Cylinder 3: 3B+ / 3B– (Pins C20, C28)

Only main (single) injection events were used.

The linearization table is based on the pulse width map of the injectors.

Additionally, in the Injectors tab under the initial setup, the 'Fuel Cylinder 1 Primary Voltage Absolute' was observed to fluctuate between 5.6 V and 2.5 V, alternating between these values.

We would greatly appreciate your guidance on resolving the recurring voltage fault and interpreting the voltage fluctuation behavior.

Thank you for your continued support.
