Feature Request for GPA/GPR

Postby 4ttl on Thu Jun 12, 2025 11:17 am

s this a suitable place to ask about a feature request or should I email support instead?
Maybe others have seen this also.

I am getting Inlet Cam drive output during cranking and where Cam Aim is zero.
Engine is Honda K series, with the cam driven with the high side of a HB.
I have heard elsewhere that this issue doesnt present with the Low side driving.

Is there a setting I have missed or is this expected behaviour? I see a startup delay has been introduced to the GPRP Pro

Thanks

Can you post a copy of your package and a data log during cranking. The picture above shows the engine idling already. It looks like the Aim changes, so of course you would expect the actuator DC to change to try an meet the Aim. I suspect you just haven't made sure the Aim is always zero in the cranking and initial start zones.

So perhaps it's doing exactly what you ask, but not what you want.

Thanks David,

It had occurred to me that I’ve got an old or failing cam gear and the PID is just masking over driving it.
A common initial failure is the zero stop pin in these, though it doesnt rattle if the output is turned off or driven low.

However, I would like to see the start delay feature reach GPA.
