We used the FA20D engine ref sync, engine wont start and they asked to disable the engine synchronisation pin, so how we can use the fa20d ref sync with keeping the synchronisation pin active ?

Engine starting with EJ207 ref sync only, using new head models inlets doesnt work, only if we use fa20d ref sync,,..

You don't, the FA20D Reference Mode uses the Inlet Cam Position sensors for Synchronisation.

The EJ20AVCS mode will start the engine as it ignores the Camshafts for Synchronisation, the Cam Position inputs are used for Cam Control only.

You need to either post logging of it not starting or take the vehicle to an Authorised MoTeC Dealer.

Hi Stephen,

FA20D is incorrect, and engine wont start.

Block should be EJ207, but how we can cancel the Engine synchronization pin on EJ207 and keep the engine runing on CAM Inlets ?

Whats the correct ref sync setting for 2008 Subaru STI ?
