16 volt and 12 volt starter system

Postby Edszx14 on Sat Jan 01, 2022 9:47 am

Hello, i want to run a 16 volt battery power to the M130. Has anyone tried this and will that voltage not hurt the ECU ? I also will use that 16 volt battery as the main power for the bike and will use a 12 volt battery to help start the bike, Do you think with 16v on one side of the start relay and 12v on the other side of the start relay would be ok? I have used two 12v batteries to start the bike but not a 16v to a 12v setup. You help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about the use of a 12V battery to support the 16V starter system, but the M1 is able to be used with a 16V system. You could use the dual 12V batteries wired to provide 24V for starting and the M1 will work with that voltage.
