The "1" digit after the Serial Number

Postby GhostTuner on Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:29 am

Hello,

I have a 2011 R35 GTR with recently installed PnP M150 ECU. There is a problem with the 2nd, 3rd and 4rth secondary injectors - output test does not go through.
I have checked wiring, pinouts and ECU channels - everything looks just fine. It seems like the problem is not the only one and is associated with the OEM hardware or wiring - the vehicle has signs of aftermarket interventions into the electronics and wiring.
The thing that is slightly weird is that digit "1" appears after the ECU Serial # on the M1 Tune screen (like it does when the ECU is plugged in 12V on the bench to update/check License or Firmware). Please have a look at the screenshot.

Could you advise on the condition which is required to skip that "1" digit and what are your suggestions to look in?

Thank you.

Hi,

If you use the "Edit Vehicle ID..." menu option under the File menu in M1 Tune, you can change the Vehicle ID from 1 to be a different ID.

With the injectors, what errors are reported by the Injector Diagnostics?

Hello Stephen,

If I understand correctly the Vehicle ID is displayed a bit further (after the Firmware version)

Regarding the Diagnostics - no active errors on the injectors

I have tried to swap the outputs of the Secondary Injectors to the Primaries and the Primaries to the Secondaries and it worked the same way - the secondary injectors (fisically) worked fine (via the Primaries channels) but the 2nd, 3rd and 4rth of the Primaries did not pass the test via the channels of the secondaries.

Thank you.

Hi,

The ID appears in both places so that there is a opportunity to confirm that the Package that is open lines up with the ECU that is being used with it. It also allows for the ECU and Package to be identified within the File Open and Open ECU menu commands in M1 Tune.

It sounds like there is an issue with the wiring for those injectors.
