ScrewDriver ECU

Postby sclarke7171 on Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:28 pm

Guys,
i have just bought a stroker Rover V8 4.2litre with Screw Driver ECU.
Problem is, it has been in a small engine fire and the sensors are melted.

I'm going to replace all the injecors with new ones, but i'm after info on what Motec recommends for the Air Temp and Coolant temp?

As you probably know, that ECU is quite old, and we dont make it or parts for it any more.

This wont be a problem with the engine water temp sensor, as it uses an off the shelf bosch sensor that you can purchase from any motec dealer.

As for the air temp sensor, in those days, the sensors were a custom made thing that MoTeC have long since moved away from using.

As for where to get one from, they only place still using those old style air temp sensors is Autronic, so to get one, you will have to go see your local autronic dealer. Not the usual place to go for parts for a MoTeC Ecu, but the only option I can give you for an ECU of that age.
