Hi,

M8 ver 6.05f software REF/SYNC modes 1 to 4. F1 help says active SYNC edge should occur midway between active REF edges.

How critical is this?

On VT distributor SYNC rise is approximately coincident with REF fall which I suspect eliminates that mode as a possibility.

Remaining 3 SYNC/REF modes put chosen active SYNC edge at various positions between chosen active REF edges but not midway between.

Intend to use DUAL edge timing.

Is this acceptable?

"mid-way" reallistically means "not at the same time as a ref", we have used the VT distributors on many engines over the years, it will be fine.
