Hello everyone! we have a configuration problem with additional dash display c127 on yaris GR with motec M142 ECU on the OBD port. adding the CAN BUS 2 line gives us a "transimit overrun" error the configuration is in 0x640. Basically there are too many messages and we can't connect the dash display.

If you are using the Dash Warning Override system then it is not possible to enable ECU Transmit as all 3 CAN interfaces are set to 500kbps.

If you are using a C127 then you can disregard the Warning Override system and set one of the CAN interfaces of the M1 to 1Mbps then use this for ECU Transmit

As per the firmware help, the radar distance interval button is firmware 12.

The cruise control is on driver rotary switch 1, but you would want to disable the cruise control first.

thanks, but you misunderstand. i dont want to use "standard"Toyota features. in any case, my understanding was the Motec did not support radar cruise

anyhow, ive worked out the steering wheel buttons are not on any CANBUS, but are rather a resistor pack that sends various resistance values to the dash which then communicates with whatever is needed, eg radio unit. Bizarre, but thats how its done in other modern Toyotas it seems

I Think you missunderstood me.

I have just told you the steering wheel buttons that are received by the M1 ECU.

The radar distance interval button on the steering wheel is an assignable resource called firmware 12. I have used it for rolling launch/boost limit disable on several cars.

The positions for the cruise control items are configured already to driver's rotary switch 1. If you don't use cruise control, it is possible to use these buttons for other functions.
