toyota 86 package question

ok, so it seems like no one has any idea why the gear selection indicator doesn't work on my 86 GTS.

One thing I am wondering (I'm definitely not very knowledgable about the motec M150), does the something have to be set up in "gear" in the calibration list for the motec to send the appropriate messages to the dash?

The reason I am wondering this is that I have added a CAM gauge and it shows gear position correctly and as far as I know it is "calculated" position also, not off a physical switch.

Any help would be most appreciated.
