Flex fuel and cruise control

Postby Dipstik_sportech on Tue Aug 01, 2017 6:43 am

Any ideas as to when a flex fuel and cruise control package will be released? Even if the flex fuel is just to compensate for differing e85 percentages. Thanks

Not that I have the answer to your question, but I suspect you probably need to specify which package you're referring to, particularly if it's for a plug in ECU (e.g. not a GPA/GPR package)

Hi,

As MalcolmG said, which package are you referring to? The Feb 2016 onward versions of the GP Packages have Flex Fuel in them already, as well as most of the targeted Packages.

M1 Flex Fuel User Guide

Cruise control is currently only available in targeted packages for vehicles that have OEM Cruise Control, and that retain the factory fail safes. We are not planning on implementing a generic cruise control system into the GP packages.

Sorry. Didn't realise I forgot to state that. It's for the gt86/brz

I guess you must have the FA20 engine package? Looks like the latest version of that has cruise control but no flex fuel, whereas the latest 86 engine swap package has both. It may be possible to upgrade to the engine swap package (there would inevitably be some cost involved there) and just configure that to work with the FA20 engine if you're desperate for flex fuel.

The Latest Toyota 86 Package for the 2012-2016 vehicles is available as a Beta version, this has Flex Fuel in it. You can talk to your dealer and organise for the Package to be supplied.

I've found the cruise control option in the program but it won't let me enable it.

Are you talking about the Cruise Enable drop down in the Package, or are you trying to get it to operate in the Car?

Both. Doesn't work in the car and I can't enable it on the program.
