DBW4 CAN Comms

Postby bdinnerv on Mon Aug 20, 2018 9:46 pm

Hi,

Is it still the case that a DBW4 can only be accessed with a CAN Cable over parralell or do they now support the UTC? Ihave just purchased a DBW4 which should turn up next week and hoping I will be able to configure it as I have not seen a parralell port on a computer for some years now and dont want to go trowelling the vintage section of eBay to get one ...

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben,

You can use the UTC to communicate with the DBW4.

Thanks for confirming this Stephen, the user guide seems to be lagging a bit behind.

Are there any documents detailing the MXXX setup side of things and also anything like a CAN template for a CDL3 to process the DBW4 CAN messages?
