Can a UTC be permanently wired?

I have not found this question answered directly anywhere on the forum nor in documentation (Yet)

I have just paid for an I am awaiting delivery of a new dash (C127) and PDM30. I take it by what I have seen on these forums that the UTC has a terminating resistor internally wired? Is there any detriment to leaving a UTC permanently connected? If there is not I would mount mine permanently in the car somewhere, make it one end of the CAN bus and connect it to the bus by flying lead socket. That would let me hide it away somewhere and cable up to a panel mount USB connector where I intend to have a group of connectors for quick connection to dash, ECU and PDM in one place.

Is that doable or am I better off if I disconnect the UTC when not in use? My preference is to leave it permanently wired so I can not forget it!

No problems leaving it in.

Sounds like a plan then and allows me to create a bit of an interface hub area on the dash to simplify access to the various electronics in the car.
