Step #1 (ensure connection between the ACL and the MAC):
First set up a new network on OSX called MoTeC as follows:
(I use .7 for the 7th LapTop/PC)
Test for connectivity to the ACL, but plugging in the ethernet cable (MoTeC #61112) between the ACL and the laptop.
(And the wireless needs to be off with only the ACL on the ethernet and no other way to a server)
Then on the mac open up terminal window and (assuming that 145 is the ID of the device):
>ping 169.254.64.145
or if the device ID is unknown then:
>ping 169.254.255.255
Now the Mac is confirmed to see the MoTeC device.
