What features does the M1 ECU offer?
Please excuse me if I’m asking what might be very basic questions. I’m still using the M800 and am considering switching to an M1 ECU. I’ve read up on everything, experimented with M1 Tune, and so on. However, I have serious doubts whether I will have the same options after making the change:
1. Is it possible to edit or create ‘Resources’? Can I for example create a resource with a name such as ‘Differential Pressure’? In other words, a resource that isn’t available as a standard resource?
2. There are plenty of physical outputs (low side and half bridge), which is great. If I’ve understood correctly, I can connect these either to the predefined resources (e.g. Fuel Pump) or to the so-called “Aux Out XY resources”. However, only a small number of fixed axes are available for these Aux Out resources (RPM, TPS, Speed, etc.).
I haven’t been able to find anywhere how to select other axes. So, for example, I can’t select the “Airbox Mass Flow” as an axis, or my example axis “Differential Pressure” from my first question. Is this really the case in all standard packages?
3. It’s possible that what I’m looking for is only available as an “M1 Development” solution. The question for me in this case is whether what I want is even possible as an “M1 Development” solution and how much such a solution might cost.
Would it be possible, for example, to obtain a “M1 Development” solution based on a GPA package that includes the following extra-features:
- A certain number of editable inputs
- maybe 8 Auxiliary resources where I can freely select the axes from all available resources
- And the ability to control two DC servo motors with freely selectable resources?
Sorry for the long message. I’d really welcome any replies.
