Can question?? cooling fan runs all the time.

Postby Clean RC on Thu Oct 12, 2023 2:09 pm

Ok as the title says.. The cooling fan runs all the time. I have it set in the M150 as pdm byte 0 mask 10 for the output resource.. and have the same setting in the PDM. When Ever I power up the car the fan comes on and stays on. In the monitor channels in the pdm, the number in the can input of the cooling fan shows 16 while the other can inputs show 0.. What am I doing wrong??

Hi,

Displaying 16 in the Monitor is correct, this is the matching value for a bit mask of 10 (bm 01 = 01, bm 02 = 02, bm 04 = 04, bm 08 = 08, bm 10 = 16, bm 20 = 32, bm 40 = 64, bm 80 = 128) so the PDM is behaving correctly as it is receiving a value greater than 0 and turning the output On.

What is the status of the M1 for the cooling fans at the same time?
