Car has been running great, put a few hundred miles on it. made 1400+rw, turbo LSR.

Pulled into a parking spot at dinner and car died right as a pulled into the spot (lucky me). ate dinner, ubered home got laptop. It was getting cycle lock but the capture looked funny. it was late so I threw the car on the trailer and took it home.

See capture data from cranking today. cam sensor looks weird but I don't recall what it looked like when it was running properly. To access the cam pos sensor I have to remove the engine and although it looks like I have no choice I figured I would check to see if anybody had seen something like this, esp with an LS. wiring, bad sensor, metal on sensor, etc all could be it. To me it doesn't look like wiring, but its tough to say.

Its obviously now getting cycle lock now.

Can you let me know the Reference Mode that you are running, or provide a copy of the Package that is running in the M1 at the moment. It looks like the Sync sensor is failing as the engine pattern locks (crank pattern recognised) each time, but doesn't get to Cycle Lock consistently.

Thanks for the quick response. I went ahead and pulled the motor, cam sensor has physical damage. Haven't pulled the timing cover but I think maybe the cam bolts were backing out.. and I got saved by this being the failure.
