M130 OUTPUTS

Postby Exigeman on Tue Jul 19, 2022 4:44 pm

Hi
New to the M130 and looking for some advice on outputs.

Which output is best used for the tach signal ( standard square wave output) ? in the GPA package I have its set standard on a 1/2 bridge output.

Having used up all LS Injector and LS Ignition outputs can I use PH to drive a relay coil ?, I understand 1/2 bridge is not good option ?

Many thanks

Hi,

A HB can be used to drive the Tacho signal.

Do you what sort of signal is required by the tacho?

Hello Stephen
Thanks - its an SPA Tacho and I beleive it requires a "standard ECU" 12V square wave - its worked with both standard Lotus Exige and Honda and Emerald ECU Tach outputs before without any mods.

Back to the Tacho...
I have HB5 configured to be the tacho output but no response from the Tacho or RT DL1 / Dash4 Pro its piggy backed to.
I cant see any adjustments for tacho output configuration - am I missing something ?

Hi,

The Tacho output pulls the signal to ground, so it needs to have a supply to it to do so.

This is one way that it can be done.
