Triumph 675r Start Up Map

Hi,

We’ve recently built a GP2 bike to run in BSB and are using a Motec M130 as per rules. We have removed the stepper motor and are using a manual idle adjuster. We are having major issues starting the bike, I.e it doesn’t really start and is hit and miss. It cranks perfectly just doesn’t start well at all.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest anything within the start up fuel table that we could try. Or any other suggestions.

Thanks

Do you think the Efficiency table cells that are used with cranking have reasonable values (i.e to they follow the table trend, or are they totally different values. Do you get Cycle Lock rapidly, repeatably, and does it stay while cranking? Are the dwell setting for the coil correct for the cranking voltage (ie, do you have weak spark?)

My guess is it takes longer that .50 seconds of crank time to achieve cycle lock, and by then you're not adding any more fuel. Consider changing the axis values of table. I think there is a reason that more recent firmware uses "Engine Cranking Cycles" instead of a cranking time channel.

Hi, the best thing you can do is contact MoTeC Europe support (support@moteceurope.co.uk) directly. They will be able to help you out with your starting issue as they have plenty of experience with the 675.
