Going from Haltech Elite 2500 to M150

Postby Mobne on Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:20 am

Hi.

Im going to upgrade from my elite 2500 to the M150 ecu.

The tune with the elite is pretty good. How much of the info from that map can be adjusted to the m150?
Any thing else i should think about?

Im going to use my wiring from the haltech, just repin the connector to the correct outputs.

The engine is an S54b32 with vanos.

Please advice :)

Going off previous experience of both ecu's (but not swapping from one to the other on same car)

You can probably pull the the basics of the timing across and anything relating to that stuff. Boost control too.

Fuel control, throw it in the bin since the M1 is far superior in how it models and actually works. If you have the correct injectors selected (in the drop down) or data plugged into the ECU. You're likely to find the Motec have much "lower" ve numbers over the haltech even if the haltech ran it perfectly fine.

My personal opinion at least.
