New to Motec, wiring ?

Postby Tking0007 on Fri Feb 14, 2020 6:01 am

Is there anywhere that shows how things are supposed to be wired. I have the M182 with the E888. Add-ons like trans brake, bump box, egts, etc.. Thanks for any help

Hi,

What sort of information are you after?

M1 Tune creates a pinout list (Help | Firmware Wiring) that shows which pins are used by a function. Thermocouples are wired directly in to the E888 E88 Wiring documentation

As to individual functions such as solenoids controlling transbrakes and the like, I prefer to wire them to switched VBatt+ and then, dependent on the current draw of the device, low side switch them using either Half Bridges for 2A+ loads, or Low Side Injector/Ignition outputs for low current draws.

You would need to get the details of the device that you are controlling from the supplier of the device.
