Voltage on Volt Inputs

Postby rayhall on Mon Aug 19, 2019 7:42 pm

I have a M150 and the volts inputs are outputting a voltage. This varies depending on the volt input tested from 0.320 to 2.256 volts. This only happens when the harness is connected. Testing the ECU on the bench shows no voltage. So my question is what do you have to do wrong with your wiring for this to happen. There is a good chance I have the wrong wire on a pin. Getting too old to not make mistakes.

Is the question too hard or did I not ask it correctly.

I would check your grounds and 0V pins first. Make sure they aren't connected to a 5V supply or the signal output from a sensor that can supply current.

Hi Ray,

As Dave said, check your 0v and Ground inputs for a stray voltage.
