M130 + PDM15's

Postby greenamex2 on Fri Oct 06, 2017 8:32 pm

Hi

Is there an easy way to get an M130 to talk to TWO PDM's?

At the moment I figure that I am going to have to talk to one and then get it to talk to the second one. Or use the CDL3 as a bit of a gateway.

For example, I have a PDM at the front and another at the back of the car. Most of the comms will be to the one at the back (it's a mid engined car) but it would be handy to be able to activate the fan, which is at the front of the car, directly via a message.

Would like to take as many possible "points of failure" out of the path between the ECU and the accessory as possible.

Thanks in advance.

I think you would need a development package but it's certainly possible if you have one.

All devices on a CAN bus can read every message that is sent out so you will be able to control both of them via the M1. You simply configure the PDM's to only receive the specific messages they need.
