Shift Kill elimination when using an 1-2-3 AUTO TRANS

Postby tcaldwellps9 on Wed Aug 30, 2017 6:26 am

Ok, when changing from a ignition kill-shift type motorcycle transmission and going to a 1-2-3 AUTO TRANS (NOT AUTO SHIFT), where do you shut off the ignition kill on the 1-2-3 shifts?

Hi,

if Gear Shift Mode is set to Not in Use then the shift cut function is disabled.

I only want the ignition kill blocked in the first 3 gears and not 4th an 5th. No in all gears.

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't realise that there was more than the three gears mentioned. In this case you can set the timings for the first three gears to 0 in the Gear Shift Timing table, and there will not be any cut applied.

Hi,

Apologies for the late reply, I didn't get a notification of your reply and it didn't show up as a new post.

That is correct, setting those values to 0 will deactivate the function in those gears.
