CAN setup

Postby MaBaMM on Thu Jul 06, 2017 4:05 am

Hi members,

our CAN actually work. But we spend much time to set it up how we want it.
Espacially the CAN's wich will be transmited with 100, 50 or 10 Hz.
There the CAN ID's are predefined and can not edited.
You also can't choose two or three CAN BUS to receive. (ECU Can Bus and ECU Can ID Base can just get one parameter)

Is there an easy way to setup the CAN in the tune?

Or is it just possible with changes in the build?

My understanding is that you cannot change much in Tune for the CAN bus. For receiving messages, you can only use the predefined receive blocks (e.g. ECU receive, LTC1-12, etc), and the only transmit option is the predefined ECU transmit block, and you cannot change the transmit frequencies for the channels being sent.

It is fairly easy to alter transmitted and received channels in Build if you know what you're doing.
