Hey guys im trying to get the ABS sensors from my 2012, E90 M3 to work on a universal digital input.

but dont even get any readings in the oscilloscope function any idea?

Not sure if the Threshold and hysteresis values are correct

i saw that there was thread about this question answerd below i guess it will be the same answer for my question.

Should the bridge be to Sensor 0v? or just same as ecu 0v ?

The resistor bridges to a Sensor 0V

Talked to the guys at Motec uk, and its impossible to get these bmw E90 m3 sensors to work.

They are sending some sort of coded signal so i will have to something else.

Are they not the modern Bosch ABS sensor, which uses a 2-wire 7-14mA output?

They work just fine, you just need to wire them with a pull down resistor. If you're keeping the ABS module there are also redundant wheel speed output pins on the unit.

We tried this but didnt get it to work.

we did get some signal out of them but its a whole pulse width not just one pulse

Yes I have. I'll look through my notes to see exactly what I did. Can you clarify what you mean by "a whole pulse width, not a single pulse"?

if we have the sensor in a test rig with a osciloscope, and try to activate the sensor with a magnet or metal

then it gives us a full pulse train not just one pulse

with one trigger we get multiple output signal in a row

That's actually normal, these sensors use an encoder in the bearing that allows them to determine direction of rotation. You should be able to filter it out.
