Hi Jamie

Quick Q on , running an EU car running a Motec M130 with a serial number tied to the US market

I own a Toyota Supra (resides in Ireland), M1 partner custom firmware for my car was created by Cody philips/John Reed in the US; would the ECU be looked upon as a grey import in-turn Motec would not support the ECU?

An EU car running a M130 Motec partner sourced ECU from the States

thanks

Hi Carlo,

With the Partner Packages, the support for the actual firmware is provided by the creator of the Package, this being Cody Phillips/JRR, MoTeC are not able to provide support for Packages that we have not done, as we do not know how they work.

The actual hardware is still supported by MoTeC.

So to be clear -- you should buy the ECU from a MoTeC dealer in your region. You can get the package license from anywhere in the world.
