Wiring Harness needs

Postby Stackinyotes on Wed Mar 05, 2025 2:08 am

Not sure where to ask this so, I'm gonna start here.

I'm swapping a gen3 coyote motor into a 65 mustang, and plan to run it with Motec.

Where do I get a harness for the engine to connect to the Motec?

Is there someone that makes them, or is this something I will have to take on myself?

Hi,

This will likely need to have a custom loom made, most of the aftermarket looms are designed around replacing the OEM loom when the same engine that is supplied with the vehicle is in place, not for transplanting a modern engine into an older vehicle.

Talk to your MoTeC dealer. I would probably start with a harness like this, and just modify or adapt to the MoTeC M1 ECU connectors. This is the Ford harness designed for their crate motor...
