Wheel speed front Final Drive Ratio

Postby Aquila on Thu Aug 25, 2022 10:20 pm

HI, my package is a M130 GPR with Traction Control in a rear-wheel drive car, can you guys please confirm if the wheel speed front final drive ratio should be the same as the rear final drive ratio?
set up is two front sensors and one sensor on the diff pinion
Thanks in advance

Hi,

Set it to 1.0 as there is no differential in place and I am presuming that you have wheel speed sensors mounted to the hubs to read the wheel speeds. Make sure that the Vehicle Drive Type is set correctly.

Thanks for your reply
Front-wheel speed sensors are mounted on hubs and it is set to rear-wheel drive type.
Front-wheel circumference 1.950, pitch threshold 50% and time out 1000.0ms
I am not sure why the Wheel speed front final drive ratio was included in the set-up.
I note that in the settings the front-wheel drive ratio was different to the rear-wheel drive ratio.
I wonder what effect this would have had to traction control strategies.
I did notice a significant difference in front and rear wheel speeds when you would think they should be the same.
