M150 Fluid Temperature Sensor & Battery Isolator Input

Postby Hunter14 on Thu Jun 23, 2022 11:24 am

Hi,

I need some advice on how to add a fluid temperature sensor and a battery isolator signal to a M150.

All 6 'Analogue Temperature Inputs' are currently utilised and I need some advice on what other inputs I can use to connect a 2 wire fluid temperature sensor?

I also need advice on what input to use for a Engine Kill Signal from a Cartek XR Battery Isolator. The isolator sends a 12V 0.2A (0.5A max.) signal when 'ON' and 0V (Earth) when 'OFF'?

Both fluid temperature and isolator are configured in my M150 but I'm unsure what inputs to connect them too.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I believe I ran the Cartek output to one side of the ignition switch, and ran the other side to the M150 input (probably an AV, but I might have used some other odd input that can be configured for Driver Switch( -- I then configured the engine Run Switch for that input (with the appropriate voltage level). So the engine will not run unless the ignition switch is ON, and it will stop when the ignition switch is off, or the Cartek Emergency shutdown says to turn it off.

Hi,

Do you have any spare AV Inputs? The difference between an AV and AT is that the AT is internally connected to the matching 5V rail through a 1K pullup resistor. This can be replicated externally by wiring a 1k resistor between the signal wire into the AV and the matching (same as the 0v in use) 5V supply.
