Boost aim off flex fuel levels

Postby DaveTS on Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:28 pm

Hi there,

I'm using an M142 with package: GM LLT 3.6 Hi Lo & firmware: GPR-DI(M142).
I want to adjust the aim boost levels based off the flexfuel sensor %ethanol. How do I achieve this?

Thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

You need to have the alternate fuel mode set to flex fuel, and have a boost output resource assigned to add all the boost control systems.

You are then looking for the 'fuel composition boost limit (%)" table.

This applies a scaling between the boost activate and boost aim main.

As this table has a maximum value of 100%, you set you boost aim table to suit your higher boost fuel (high ethanol content) and use the table to scale down for your lower octane fuel settings.
