Knock sensor type on M130 ECU

Postby picasso on Mon Jul 13, 2020 9:48 am

Hi,
I am about to connect a couple of knock sensors to the M130 ECU. Can I use the standard Ford 2 wire sensors (7T4A-12A699-AB) that are factory installed on my engine or do I have to use another type of sensor?

Thanks,
Rolf

Hi,

The OEM sensor will be fine to use with the M1, I recommend that if the engine has knock sensors from the OEM that they are used, rather than replacing them with a generic knock sensor as the OEM will have usually selected the best knock sensor for the engines knock characteristics.
