M170 Wiring

Postby 951driver on Fri Feb 14, 2020 10:32 am

Am I correct in understanding that the battery pins are on a connected bus, but that the sensor A and B busses are not connected? And if that’s the case, I presume sensors must be on the same bus, both 5v and 0v?
Thanks for helping a noob!

Hi Julian,

It is recommended that the sensors are wired to the same 5V+ and 0V rails, as this allows for the M1 to apply a ratiometric correction to the signal if the the 5V+ rail is pulled down or the 0V rail is pulled up. The AT pins are internally connected to their respective 5V+ rails through a 1K pullup resistor internally, so they need to be wired to the correct 0V rail, this is specified in the Package Help under Sensor Voltage Reference.
