Samsonas sequential reverse lights

Merry Christmas all.

I have just fitted a samsonas sequential into my Tommi Mac and need to have the reverse lights working, I have the M150 talking to the CDL3 dash with gear position being displayed on it, I can hook up a relay with neg trigger, can the CDL3 activate the relay ?

If you have the IO license (and the gear position sensor picks up when in reverse), yes.

The Samsonas gear display has provision for reversing light.

Thanks boys, yes have IO on the CDL3, will use AUX output 1, I am using the CDL3 to display gear position so Samsonas display is still in the box.

Any tips on how to do setup in display manager ?

Create a User condition, something like "Gear is equal to -1". Use the result of this condition as the channel to control the AUXOUT.

Thanks David, I’m away till next week so will have a look when I get back in front of the computer. I had a bit of a look and the CDL3 is receiving gear position from the M1

Regardless of the source, the user condition method that David outlined above is the best way to control the output.
