Inlet Manifold Pressure Sensor Voltage Sites

Postby CarloL on Tue Jun 07, 2016 10:10 pm

Hi

I am using a Supra Firmware developed by M1 Builder John Reed (USA) , my car resides in Ireland and is currently getting mapped by local M1 Tech here Robbie(TDP)

Question: The firmware is locked down to using two sites , I am told by John is all you need but Robbie said it should have more , it’s the reason why its cheap …..

Can somebody explain to me what Sites are ? In practice the ECU should require more ?

You have to input the sensor data in those sites. A pressure sensor is linear by design so you really only need 2 "sites". The "site" is where you enter the pressure at .5vdc and the other being 4.5vdc.

It's not cheap at all. John just knows what he's doing and doesn't waste your time with values in-between that don't matter.
