Turbo boost control

Postby stainless1 on Sun Jun 19, 2022 3:09 pm

I am adding boost control to my M84 used on a Bonneville Land Speed Car.
Can I ground the control solenoid and use Aux 1 for voltage or should I put 12v on the solenoid and use Aux 1 to control ground. Does it matter? Can it be done either way?
Thanks

ecu outputs ground trigger.

Put 12v to the solenoid, and then the other wire is the ecu trigger.

Hi,

Wire it as Stevie said, it is the better option to have the ECU providing the ground than the power for solenoids and similar.

Thanks, in trying to set it up on the computer I saw that Aux 1 can't do PWM with volts, only ground. Looking for a switched power to tie into and will put the ground lead on Aux 1 or Aux 3.
